Martin Luther was a jovial fellow, who enjoyed his beer, friends and some good music. But he was also a troubled soul and a brilliant scholar, who sought help from God, and thus started a chain reaction that pulled the medieval church through the Reformation. The church as we know it, with Catholics and Protestants, with Anglicans, Lutherans and Presbyterians, would not look the same if it wasn’t for Luther.
