Peterley Christmas Market - Help Needed

HELP NEEDED It is that time of year when I come asking for your help. This year is no exception…

Jam Jars - clean, labels removed and with lids please. Some of our jam and pickle makers are getting desperate.

Peterley Christmas Market, weekend at end of November (I think)- Jams, chutneys and other home made goodies needed for selling. Please, as in past years, could I have the filled jars in plenty of time to "prettify" them. Hand made goods such as the knitted Christmas decorations always go down well. Doreen will be in touch later about cakes and other home bakes, and I will be looking for volunteers to man the stall on both days, closer to the time. I will let you know the dates as soon as I can.

Village Hall Charity Bazaar, Saturday November 9th - In the past we have always asked for donations of any new but unwanted things for sale on the table - this is the same this year, but... This sale has happened every year for the last 26 years. It is a tremendous opportunity for the local village charities to raise funds at the same time as being "visible" to the village and show-casing who they are and what they do. The 2 ladies who have organised it for the last 15 or so years want to stand down from it. It would be tragic if this opportunity was lost. I, in my madness, have offered to take this on and so am asking this year, not only for the donations to sell on the table, but also for volunteers to man the door, sell raffle tickets and refreshments. I thought it best this year to leave it in the Village Hall. Please, if you can help in any way do let me know and together we can try to maintain this village tradition. If you are a member of a charity who normally has a table, please let me know if you still want to come this year; if you are a member of a charity not already involved but would like to be, also, please come and talk to me.

Thanks Jean Green.
