Petertide Ordinations 2019

We are very blessed this year to be celebrating two ordinations in the benefice. Firstly, Nigel Spoor is being ordained priest and secondly our new curate Kevin Lovell is being made deacon. Please remember Nigel, his wife Irene, and their family; and Kevin, his wife Gill, and their family in your prayers as they prepare for these momentous occasions. We are invited to share the ordination services with Kevin and Nigel, and if you would like to attend either one please contact the office or Jean Green as we will arrange to travel together.

On the following Sundays we will have special services. On June 23 Nigel will preside at the eucharist, and this is a very significant occasion as he exercises his priestly ministry for the first time. On June 30 we welcome Kevin at a special service at Great Hampden. Here are the details for both those weekends and the celebrations that follow our special Sunday services.

Saturday June 22, 11.00am Nigel Spoor's ordination as Priest Eton College Chapel  Travel will be arranged for those who wish to attend
Sunday June 23, 10.00am Nigel Presides at the Eucharist for the First Time Holy Trinity, Prestwood This will be followed by a Champagne Celebration
Saturday June 29, 6.00pm Kevin Lovell's ordination as Deacon Christ Church, Oxford Travel will be arranged for those who wish to attend
Sunday June 30, 11.15am Kevin's Welcome to the Benefice St Mary Magdalene, Great Hampden This will be followed by a bring-your-own picnic lunch, with Pimms and Strawberries and Cream being served

On both those Sundays these will be the only service in the Benefice, and everyone is encouraged to come and support Nigel and Kevin at them. There will be activities for children at both services.

htprestwood @hairyhatfield It is a straightforwardly heretical statement... a type of pelagianism.
