Giving 2017

The work of Holy Trinity Prestwood is made possible by the generosity of many individuals and families who give towards helping to make our vision for our Church and community possible. We believe in our calling to grow this community and care for the people of Prestwood. Our Church will continue to thrive if you give to us regularly. We want everyone who can to review their standing order this month, and for those who don't yet give by standing order to start giving this way if they can.

Where does our income come from?

Holy Trinity does not receive income or funding from any organisations. All our income comes from regular giving, donations, and fundraising activities. As our costs rise we need to increase our income, and this is where we would like you to prayerfully consider your regular giving. Giving by standing order assists with our financial planning.
In the table below you can see how our regular standing order donors give and how most of our income is reliant on a few larger donors. Over the last few years we have lost some of our larger givers. We need people to consider “stepping up” the level of their giving.

Our Expenses

It can be seen from the chart below that the parish share (which pays for Deiniol and supports other parishes less fortunate than ourselves) is the largest cost, which is set by the diocese. We constantly look at reducing our expenditure but most of our costs are necessary for the day-to day running of Holy Trinity. However as inflation increases so do our costs.
In 2016 total expenditure was £125,000.

Benefits of Regular Giving and Gift Aid

As the church relies very much on regular committed giving by its members, knowing that there is a regular source of income is a great aid to planning. To this end, if you are a regular member of Holy Trinity Prestwood, we would encourage you to make a monthly standing order so that your giving is made directly from your bank.
If you are a UK tax payer we can increase your giving by reclaiming the tax from HMRC, at no added cost to yourselves. For every £1 you give we can claim 25p. In order for us to reclaim the tax please complete a gift aid form.
All forms are at the back of church or on the website.

One-Off Donations

If you wish to make a one-off donation occasionally, do this by cheque or bank transfer, and this can be gift aided also.

Please download the forms below, fill them in and drop them in to the Parish Office.

Thank you so much for supporting our ministry.
