Coronavirus/COVID-19 update for the Benefice

It seems clear that it will be a long and difficult time until life is back to normal. Whatever decisions we make—individually and collectively—will have consequences. We see your chuch's role as supporting the parish through worship, prayer, caring for the isolated and unwell, and supporting, as best we can, the healthy functioning of the community. "Social distancing", whilst entirely necessary, isn't good for us in the long-term and isn't very easy for many Christians to do! But the safer we stay the sooner we can get back to normal. No one should take risks.

Our prayer is that we can maintain the bonds that bind us together in the love of God. As we continue to journey through Lent we do so in the company of Jesus, who knew the pain of isolation. He went through great suffering to grant access to the joyful and very social life that God promises us all.

In time we will continue to build that life in our own community as we always have, but for now we must find different ways to make that love real and vital.

Let us make sure we are all praying for one another, and those who are supporting us. Some prayers you might like to use are below.

With best wishes,

Deiniol, Kevin, Nigel and all the team.
